These terms are the agreement between you and Affect, a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada, which operates Λffect. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that business. By creating an account or using Λffect, you agree to them.
The service
Λffect is in development. Features are being released in stages, and some pages describe features that are not available yet. We may change, delay or remove features, and we do not promise that any feature will be available by a particular date.
Your account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
- The information you give us must be accurate.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Λffect for anything unlawful.
- Use bots, fake accounts or any other method to create artificial streams, views or engagement.
- Upload or promote content that you do not have the rights to, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Try to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts.
- Copy or scrape the service in bulk without our permission.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run Λffect for you.
Plans and payment
The free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are not open yet, and the prices shown on the site may change before they open. We will add billing terms to this page before anyone is charged.
Other platforms
Λffect is designed to work with advertising platforms run by other companies, such as Meta, TikTok and YouTube. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their decisions or their availability.
No guarantee of results
Advertising can put your music in front of listeners. It cannot make them listen. We do not guarantee any number of streams, followers, sales or other results.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.
Disclaimers and limits
Λffect is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to these terms
We will update these terms as Λffect develops. When we make a change that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email. If you keep using Λffect after a change, you accept the updated terms.
