Most independent artists already know they should be promoting their music. What stops them is everything that comes after that thought.
To run one release properly you end up inside Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager and Google Ads for YouTube Shorts. That is three tools built for marketing departments, each with its own rules, its own formats and its own way of reporting results. Learning one of them is a project. Keeping three of them coordinated around a single song is a job.
The usual ways out are to hire an agency or a promoter, or to skip promotion and hope for a viral moment. The first costs more than most artists at this stage can justify. The second is not a plan.
Λffect is a software alternative to hiring a marketing agency for your music.
What we're building
- An ad manager. Run your Meta, TikTok and YouTube Shorts campaigns from one screen. Make an ad once and duplicate it across platforms. Your budget moves toward the ads that outperform.
- An ad creative school. A free course on making ads that people actually stop for, because the best targeting in the world can't save a weak creative.
- An ads leaderboard. A free ranking of the ads run through Λffect, so you can see what is working and how yours compares.
The school and the leaderboard are free because knowing what works shouldn't depend on having a budget.
Why trap first
Most music marketing tools are built for "musicians" in general and treat every genre the same. We don't think that holds. What gets a trap listener to stop scrolling is not what works for a folk audience, and a tool that ignores the difference leaves the artist to figure it out alone.
So Λffect is starting with trap. It is the scene we know, and we would rather be right for one audience than vague for all of them.
Who's behind it
Λffect was started by Louis Λ, an artist who also builds software. That combination is the point. The person writing the code also has releases to promote, so every feature gets used on real music before anyone else is asked to pay for it.
Where things stand
Λffect is in development. The first round of testing is happening in-house, on Louis Λ's own releases, and it stays that way until the results repeat from one release to the next. One song doing well can be luck. Nobody else should put money behind our attribution until we know it is not.
